I went for a wine tour visiting wineries near AGS. and had the delight to visit AGUASCALIENTES, having breakfast at la Saturnina on Sunday is a buffet experience, with delicious typical meals and a variety of dishes, the best was the atole, Yo can visit the wineries near and have breakfast here for a full tour.
September 06, 2016I was visiting Aguascalientes and decided to visit this place based on the comments that many had post about this restaurant. First bad experience, a cat jumped on my legs, the waitress noticed this and took the cat away. Second bad experience, the cat reappeared walking round the plates and spoons, we let the waitress know about this and she took the cat away for secon time. Third bad experience, the cat appeared again by passing his tail plates and forks again. Fourth bad experience, after more than 45 minutes our order still was not ready. If management and waitress of this place allows a cat to pass through the tables, the cusine and the area where the dishes are, this says a lot about the cleanliness of this place.My family and I decided to leave this and never, NEVER again come back or recommend this place.
There is a nice buffette whit mexican food from Aguascalientes, not very expensive and it is in a nice place.
La Saturnina is a great traditional place with yummy food. Service is good and the portion sizes are a bit excessive. Nevertheless the ambiance is tranquil and truly peaceful. They have locals that come in and play baladas while you eat. Must try while in Aguascalientes.
La saturnina is one of the few places in Aguascalientes that still offers traditional breakfast. With a very authentic flavour and affordable prices, La saturnina is the place to go. They offer buffet on weekends for lunch
A great option for a traditional meal, very clean and indeed traditional. I specially like the bread they make, warm, fresh out of the oven. Excellent.
We found this place while out walking on Calle Nieto- it was a late lunch and they still had great choices for the buffet- very traditional and all with wonderful flavor. We had the flavored waters which are made with distiller water. They make the tortillas fresh in the dining room and the lady talked with us ( in Spanish) about how I could make my tortillas better - I had asked a couple of questions. She loved that the boys wanted to watch.out of all the restaurants we are in- this was our favorite- for the food, service and atmosphere. The panadería next door is also outstanding.
