El Guero - Amatitán

Luckily, our stop at El Güero came with our tour of Herradura, so if ever in Amatitán, check out both Cantaritos El Güero and Herradura!We were astounded by the speed in which our cantaritos were made, specially how fast lemons and limes can be squeezed BY HAND! That being said, the drink is so delicious, it's mix of lemons, limes, a mystery salt of some sort (secret ingredient, I guess!), and Squirt (a soda beverage like Sprite mixed with grapefruit juice).Evidently, Cantaritos El Güero is famous for being the start of the 4-hour drive to the beaches (Puerto Vallarta and surrounding beaches). I, for one, wouldn't ever risk drinking and driving, especially in a foreign country, but luckily we had a ride! Enjoy your next cantaritos, and order the big one and save the pot for a vacation momento!!

Located on the way to Tequila this unimposing place has benches and tables built from tree trunks and serves sneakingly deceptive and diabolically tasty concoction of FRESH SQUEEZED grapefruit juice, oranges limes squirt soda d of course plenty of tequila. Very refreshing and smooth, a great way to get your vitamin cI have never been to a place quite like this, folks are friendly and very cheap

WOW...Best place for a drink and fun afternoon. The tequila flows all day and night. Glad I don't live there I would go several times a week. A MUST TRY IF YOU ARE THERE.

I am standing in line right now later and I still haven't even gotten a drink place sucks. Food idk I basically could've gotten it somewhere else at this point I don't even care if it's good or not I got skipped in...line and I'm still waiting to have a drink let alone food. Nobody helps direct you and you are busy running around trying to find where to even get ur food. Where to get ur drinks this place I can't even explain how bad my experience has been

My friends and I were making this a day trip as we were coming from Guadalajara. We have been wanting to go so we made sure we extended our trip to give us a day for this visit. When we showed up, we went to...the line to ask a question as to how it works and the guy ignored us, so I asked again in Spanish and politely and he placed his hand on my face and hushed me. NO PLACE IS WORTH THIS SERVICE- If the security treats you like this I can't even imagine how the staff would. the place was so crowded and no Covid restrictions. our drivers took us about Mins down the road to 'Cantaritos Che Che' They were amazing and definitely worth a trip, live music, food, bomb cantaritos and it's family owned so they care for their customers

Our guide suggested this place. What fun it was. Here is how it rolls. You pay for the cantarito at the cash register. Small, medium, large or ridiculously huge! Keep your receipt. Then go to where the guys are making them. Tell them the size...and they will make it, asking how many “cuenos” (horn shots) you want. As many as you like, same price. You can barely taste the tequila. Real tasty drinks. And a super fun place with music, dancing, and cool wood seats and tables lots of them. Stays fairly busy in the day our guide said real busy at night. Definitely a stop on the list when visiting the cute town of Tequila! Oh and have a driver the drinks are good and can be strong

Last stop during a Tequila Tour and it was so good. You have to stop and grab a drink. Listen to live music. The atmosphere is great. I will definitely come back one day just to drink and hang out

It is an absolutely amazing place, the awesome patio set up and the live music makes you just hang all day! The preparation of the cantaritos is a great show and the best part of it is that you get to enjoy it yourself, I...recommend you go there with fun friends and you will have the best time! The staff is super friendly and very happy people they always welcome you with a friendly smile. Its never too late to get your drink started after all its o'clock somewhere in the world, Enjoy and Salud! My best to all the staff
