Christian's Tacos - Bacalar

Fuimos aquí anoche y fue una de las mejores comidas que tuvimos en México. Toda la comida fue realmente genial. El servicio también fue muy bueno.

This was our favourite place in Mexico, we were so glad we found it. Seriously cheap, sat among locals in the back streets, so not a tourist trap the atmosphere was so authentic. The food was so delicious, especially the tacos and guacamole dip. A must try if you want to experience genuine Mexican food and atmosphere.

Fuimos aquí después de ver el nombre en el mapa de Bacalar y leer en Tripadvisor. Tienen un menú que es un poco confuso pero decidimos pedir el plato grande de nachos. Felizmente solo pedimos ese. Era un plato grande con nachos y todo lo que puedas imaginar que puede haber en el plato. Fue realmente bueno y lo disfrutamos. Está un poco alejado de todo, justo afuera del centro, en una calle donde de otro modo no vendrías.

This place destroyed every bowl of nachos i have ever had in my life! The tacos are simplicity themselves but spot on. Decor is not up to much but you can sit outside and why distract from the food, it's a street eat on a plastic seat, awesome.The menu was completely confusing and the meat is pork all the way. So i would suggest this order: Nachos, Guacamole (comes with a few chips), a queseda carne, a corn taco con queso, a flour taco con queso and two coronas. An absolute feast for a really good price.

My husband and I are so glad we persisted until we found this place. Our Spanish isn't great so we got a little confused when trying to find this lovely place, but it was such a treat. Christian's Tacos is a very small establishment in the middle of a residential neighborhood. It has outdoor seating, just the right amount of lights, jazz music and friendly waitstaff. That's just the beginning...the food is awesome!After reading the other reviews for Christian's, we ordered the large nachos and two al pastor tacos each. The flour tortillas were served warm with tasty pieces of al pastor, pineapple and cheese. The meal was served with delicious salsa verde, diced onions with cilantro, red spicy sauce and limes. We put the salsa verde and onion mixture on our tacos and nachos for added flavor and crunchiness. The nachos were loaded with refried black beans, al pastor, more cheese and pineapple. Even with an extra taco and a corona light the bill was 180 pesos. (About 10 US) This was a real treat and definitely worth exploring.

We three British middle aged guys needed a snack after a walk from the ADO collecting our tickets for leaving on the morning. It was 22:40 when we arrived. I had looked up places closest to ADO and this place was hopefully still open and served beer so we arrived and found it busy.Basically we ordered and it came in good time and was very tasty, just hitting the spot! If mega beers on offer and friendly service. We left at 11:55, almost the last people (a family still there). Great stuff. See pics.

After reading all of the amazing reviews, I was really excited to visit this place, because well, tacos. Not sure if my expectations were too high, but it didn't amaze me. It was tasty, yes, but nothing spectacular. The guacamole was a bit too salty for my taste. All in all, a nice place, nice seating, not on the main street so you get some quiet, and it's very popular with locals which is always a good sign. The service was attentive, the price is good, all in all it was okay but I wasn't blown away.

Well what can I say apart from these are the best tacos I've had in Mexico, I've been here for over 6 weeks now so I've had my fair share of Tacos. Me and my gf ordered 5 tacos and nachos with pastor meat on them. We enjoyed the tacos that much that we ordered another 3. Really good value for money too. Eight tacos,nachos and a corona mega only cost 180 pesos. Good salsas too!
