quiet place on weekdays with clear water and almost no waves. entry fee for walk-ins is two pesos per person and they can rent two chairs and a plapa for 20 pesos for the whole day. compare this with 250 pesos per person in playa del carmen. they can take the bus to lerma for 7 pesos per person and only the driver say playa bonita por favor when they return to campeche, they take the bus from the same place they were thrown off as the buses go only in one direction and a loop through lerma and back to campeche. there are 3 restaurants on the beach, but only 2 were open served seafood, huh, beer and refreshments. if they like fish, they do not miss the opportunity to have one of the best pescado asado in yucatan, and the presentation was two to none. you choose your fish before they cook it, and abel will grill it to your taste. super cheap day on the beach. fun!

campeche is a fishing town, but that doesn't mean they can't enjoy a trip to the beach. bonita (meaning beautiful), is a great place to enjoy the beautiful coast. there is a small fee to come and there will need a taxi ride to get there, but it is worth it. expect their arrival are friendly staff, good eating, drinks, sunbeds and wonderfully outsight. if they are in campeche, they will check this place.

I was surprised by playa bonita. the room is very well maintained, they do not have to pay to use the room (the entry fee is only 2 pesos for local and 40 pesos for others), the food and drinks are very cheap compared to other places that are on the coast. the only part I could see is that they close very early so that they can not stay here all day, but the beach next to the restaurant is public so that they can move a few meters and stay longer. the water has a beautiful crystal blue color, and they can easily see some small fish and shells in the sand. expect a quantity of sargaso (algae), but this is normal in the region, and there is nothing except a large amount of alae that are washed on land. if they are in campeche and want to come for the day, they can take the bus (14 pesos round trip) and it takes like 20-30 minutes one-way (take the bus that goes towards tec, that is the technological university). if you want to take a taxi, it can travel up to 200.

Very clean facilities. Waiters are a little bit aggressive when you first show up but very cordial and attentive once you pick a spot. Cheap rentals.

Great spot for 3 hours. We arrived Sunday morning before 11am. It was not busy! Amazing. We only had to pay $15 pesos to park, and because were 60+ we did NOT have to pay the $15 pesos entry fee. We had free access to our own palapa, plus use of banos . We rented 2 chairs for $20 pesos. Gr We ordered food from one of 2 places there where severs bring it right to you palapa. The food was ok. Well, not that good. But whatever. The beach is great. Not overcrowded. Lots of families. Not touristy at all. . The water isn’t gray. Kinda weedy. But it was so cool to go there. And so cheap

It is a nice beach but once you enter you are bombarded with restaurant staff trying to sell you food and drinks. If you manage to find a quiet spot, it is quite lovely. Clean toilets and showers. Water for swimming was okay. A bit dirty water.

The main club is shut for refurbishment but there is a pleasant restaurant next-door with decent drinks, food, sun loungers and a clean beach.
