Kabah Buffet Restaurant - Grand Sirenis

I and my wife used this buffet when staying at the Riviera section of the Grand Palladium hotel chain. We mainly used it for breakfast and had dinner there twice. The breakfast options were average - scrambled eggs, hash browns swimming in oil, cheap sausages etc. Fruit juices were watery and the churros and pancakes were always cold as the chef would never cook fresh ones, just told you to take the ones already prepared that had been sat there. Dinner options were not great either, I mainly ate chips (fries) with salad and chicken, although the bread was okay. The butter tasted more like margarine. The wait staff weren't that friendly and sometimes you would be given a table at breakfast that wasn't laid properly or, even worse in my opinion, one that had dirty linens. Oh, and sometimes they even forgot your coffee etc. There is a proper coffee machine in the far corner where you can get capuccinos etc, but be prepared to wait. They also had cheap cava (not champagne) if you wanted to make a bucks fizz.

We dined at the Kabah Buffet every morning for breakfast. I asked to be seated near the Mimosa bar and the Churro bar. The buffet selections are many from fresh omelets prepared right in front of you, scrambled eggs with different meats from pulled pork to salmon to shredded beef to chicken, a huge fresh fruit table, many types of juices, Mexican pan fried tacos with either chicken or pulled pork, breads and pastry, cereals, French toast, and of course Mimosas. The Churros and donuts were fresh, hot right out of the fryer. The servers and wait staff are very friendly and accommodating. It took a little bit to get my coffee right. The server kept wanting to give me coffee with cream, but they soon understood that I wanted black coffee and lots of it (for my fresh hot Churros.We dined at the Kabah twice for dinner on our first night at the resort. We arrived at the resort late and I was tired. Wines and beer are available with your dinner. The selection is huge for dinner. Pork roast, beef, chicken, a huge salad and fresh fruit bar, and a large selection of desserts. We never dined at the Kabah for lunch, but I am certain that the selections were many and ample.

On the first night of our 14 day break after a 12 hour flight from England we visited the restaurant Staff very polite and smartly dressed, our meals were prepared within the restaurant and presented well, there was no rush which meant you could relax enjoy the atmosphere .At the end of the meal we had coffees but with a difference these were flambade at your table which was spectacular to watch being made

Mon mari et moi sommes allés dans ce restaurant italien lors de notre séjour au Sian Ka'An fin décembre 2016. Nous avions réussi à avoir une réservation mais à 17 h 30, ce qui est un peu tôt pour nous. C'est un restaurant assez grand, très beau décor. Le menu est varié ainsi que le buffet des entrées. Notre serveur était empressé, efficace, surexcité quelque peu. Notre bouteille de vin a été servi à la bonne température. Mon mari a aimé son choix de menu, soit la lasagne. Quant à moi, j'ai commandé la pizza végétarienne, que je n'ai pas beaucoup apprécié, elle goûtait la pizza des supermarchés avec la croûte croquante. Pour l'ambiance italienne, l'endroit est bien.

The food is great, the salad bar is fresh and has a wonderful variety, and the service is top notch. Jaime Lopez was our server tonight and he was fantastic. He was very professional, attentive, and friendly. If we come back to the grand palladium we will be looking to sit in his section. Thanks Jaime!

Dessert is a must! Staff was very attentive and helpful with menu selections. Portion sizes were just right.

We went to Portofino for dinner at the Grand Palladium Resort, White Sands. If you go at 5:30pm, you can get seated right away. If you go later, you may have to wait for seating. This is a one of the A la Carte restaurants at the White Sands. The menu includes a variety of pasta dishes, fish, chicken, a huge salad bar which included prawns and desserts. We had lasagna which was very good. Our dining companions had chicken and pasta. Our waiter was very friendly and attentive. Adequate selection of wine. There is a large selection of desserts. The tiramisu was good. When entering the restaurant, you walk from the White Sands lobby through an area of local vendors selling silver jewelry, hats, scarves, crafts. Or you can walk past the large swimming pool over a wooden walkway, near a koi pond and over a wooden bridge. From inside the restaurant, you can't see the beauty of the resort at night.

Cenamos una noche en este restaurante. Destacar ante todo el equipo humano, gran servicio pendientes de todo detalle para que los comensales estemos lo mas a gusto posible. La cena consiste en un primer plato con variedad de ensaladas, quesos... tipo buffet con calidad pero no deja de ser buffet. Pedimos risotto de salmón y estaba bueno en sabor pero un poco duro el arroz y solomillo de ternera con salsa de champiñón que estaba aceptable.
