It was strange-passed through many vacant and run down places and once we got to the restaurant it was like entering another world. Clean, tons of great food and good service. We has shrimp with heads on and grouper pasta with a pineapple dessert with ice cream-we fought over that dessert. It was a complicated ride to the place but worth it all the same. Meal for two was around $90 but we

We had 2 families total of 7. We eat fine dining alot and enjoy a good martini and wine. Everything was wonderful with ambiance, service, starting to sprinkle a little while on patio and they made sure rolled out over hang. We had all courses, apps, main and dessert. Was sooo pleased because went by reviews on Trip Advisor to seek out this restaurant. Well worth it. Had nice bathroom too and great fans to keep us cool with the heat/humidity.

We were a group of eight from ages 25 to 92. The service and food were "see title of review"! For appetizers we had the mussels and dumplings, they were " see title of this review". The drinks were wine and beer, all served promptly and at just the right temperature. The entrees we ordered are to numerous to list, but there were not any leftovers so everyone must have thought they were " AWESOME, Just AWESOME".Oh wait.....then there was DESERT....pineapple Sergio and chocolate brownie with raspberry reduction! It is a dining experience. Sit back and enjoy.

The food and menu choices were good, one of us had a very delicious steak. The only negative was that the A/C did not work well and it was hard to enjoy your meal with the heat. Saw that if you wanted to have a romantic dinner, they had a few small tables on an outside patio, with candles, etc.

I was so excited about going- I have a place in La Gloria and hadn't been yet. Made a reservation a day ahead and couldn't wait to eat! Ambiance is great in back courtyard, staff was super nice- we looked over the menu and ordered- pork dumplings, tortilla soup and the stuffed fish special to split between the two of us-waiter told us about the special fish stuffed with mussels, calamari, shrimp, scallops and octopus- said it was different from the one on menu- I asked how they were different and he said menu had a cheese sauce and special had white wine, we liked the sound of it so we ordered special. We started with a martini which was great and waited for the food to start- dumplings came out and had a black hair on one- yuck- called the waiter over and he took them back to get us new ones. More than an hour after arriving we got dumplings without a hair and they were delicious!!! We only ate a couple and saved room for our other food. About 35-40 minutes later soup came- flavor was great and the cheese and avocado were perfect, soup base was a little thick but amazing flavor. Then we waited for the fish- about another 30 minutes and waiter arrives with a plate of pasta with grilled fish and two shrimp?!? We are confused and he said yes you wanted the special instead of the stuffed fish?!? Umm no we didn't and specifically asked what is the difference between the stuffed fish on the menu and the special stuffed fish, waiter replied the sauce. He said it's good why don't you try it- so we aren't happy after the hair, then long wait- but we try- blah- nothing great or what we wanted. He comes back in a bit and offers to make stuffed fish- we say no it's already been over 2 hours and he says it will be out in 10 minutes. So okay- we've gone this far- about 15 minutes later stuffed fish comes out- with no sauce, which is fine, but fish is over cooked and the stuffing is about three pieces of calamari and tiny canned looking bait shrimp?!? No other seafood and why in the world would anyone use those shrimp around here? I won't eat those- they aren't fresh and are awful! Flavor- blah. The spiral carrots and zucchini were amazing- best part of the plate! So we get the bill. Not that I expect anything ever for free- but the owner talked to every other table in the restaurant that night except ours and didn't offer us a cocktail, dessert- nothing for the trouble and 3 hour dinner. Again I'm not looking for a handout- but for the price and lack of concern about all the problems- I can't say I'll be back. Aside from the dumplings- everything else you can get anywhere on the island and it certainly wasn't any better. Maybe it was an off night- but a heartfelt I'm sorry or concern or even a care would have been nice.

A hidden gem on Isla Mujeres! Reservations are required in this tiny unassuming spot but it is well worth the effort and the cab ride to dine there. Most of the tables are al fresco in a cozy backyard garden. As a matter of fact, you really do feel as if you have been welcomed into someone's home...if that someone has a top notch, state of the art kitchen! The menu was well balanced and all of the dishes we tried were very good. My only constructive criticism is to improve the wine selections. People who will make an effort to find a place like this also want a well-thought out wine list to choose from. Otherwise, we very much enjoyed our meal and we would return again with friends.
