I lived from this place on the street and really miss it! Perfect place for live bluegrass/jazz/music in general also old Schulburger/Fries/USA cuisine. It was quite decent to meet the staff and small group of expats who are regularly in this place.
Once a month, these guys have an amateur comedy night. Let me tell you the night I left was great. The atmosphere is amazing, and only to know that there is a place in Mexico City where Mexicans and US citizens coexist and enjoy a good comedy show, restores my belief in humanity. Stop it!
I was in this place, I think of three different occasions and every time it was completely different. One night it was like a huge house party, one night it was trivia, and another night it was an open microphone night maybe? So I'd say check what they're doing the night you go.

Cozy atmosphere in a former American Legion Post! Live Jazz on Tuesday nights, good food and friendly owners.
Post #2 #1 is in Paris). Bar and shops are open, including local arts and watch/jewelry repair on first floor and English-language bookstore with some rare/first-editions), upstairs. Restaurant to fully open 1 October 2022. Historic place with tons of cool atmosphere.
From what I understand, they are under new ownership so we can expect good and different things. They have 2 for 1 drink specials, but we have yet to try the food. Mostly appreciative that we met really friendly people who genuinely wanted to help us with solid advice for our transition to life in DF.
