Marlin Azul - La Paz

Este lugar le gusta a toda la gente que va a La Ventana y con justa razón, tienen muy buena comida! El menú es muy variado pero yo siempre voy por mariscos calientes (tacos de camarón, pescado, pulpo, etc) o por sus papas asadas gigantes rellenas de carne con camarón.

Had the seafood ceviche ( great price ) and enjoyed our meal of tuna tacos in a funky environment. Easy to get to, fun spot.

At least for us. We were in La Ventana for a week and we went to Marlin Azul for five of the seven nights! It was so good we kept going back.

Last year we had several good meals at Marlin Azul. This year the food was average and the service terrible. Don't think we'll go back.

We had a good breakfast here before an afternoon of kiteboarding. They served various egg dishes (huevos ranchero, divorced eggs, etc) and also things like blueberry pancakes. Everything was good. They also offered juices, like an orange/carrot/beet mixture called "vampiro". Breakfast for two people, with coffee and juice cost us around 250 pesos.

Really great veggies on the skewers. Really good poblano soup. Took almost an hour for the food to arrive, but to be fair, we did arrive just after several large groups. I had expected that my soup would arrive before the main dishes, but apparently they serve the soup with the main course. Very attentive servers. Big portions.

While I was visiting a friend this week they brought me to this great restaurant. I felt the service was excellent and very polite, the food was delicious and nicely presented, and the ambiance was simple but perfectly fitting for the general vibe in La Ventana. Would happily go back here for dinner or any other meal with confidence.

We eat at this place at least once a week when we are in town one of the best restaurants in La Ventana.
