Pedro & Lola' s has always been a favorite in Mazatlan, but recently the entire restaurant , staff, service ,food and entertainment seems to be missing it's old pizzaz. Twice this past winter we brought guests and were totally underwhelmed.Hopefully the old life will be brought back because this is one of the favorite old establishements and mainstays of the Historic District.

Very good service and friendly waiters. Great fish dishes with unique sauces. Few vegetarian options but they can create veggie burritos. Good and very potent margaritas. No wait on weekdays. Also very reasonable.

Downtown in the Plaza Machado square is one of the best restaurants I have ever eaten. I always have the Orange Shrimp. The service is very good. You can take a taxi or pulmonia to get there. The square has arts and crafts tables to visit and there are musicians with good music to listen to. There are also many different restaurants around the square to try. Enjoy and try it...

great variety of mazatlan food and very good price value - in the middle of Plaza Machado the best view in the downtown

I just love plaza Muchado. It is so lively at night. All of the restaurants are out on the street. There is always entertainment in the evening on the plaza. Just a go to place. We have been to quite a few of the restaurants there but this was our first time at Pedro and Lola's. I was impressed. The food was a good or better than some of the other places that we went to and that I rated very highly. The prices for the food and especially the wine were cheaper. The wine was good. I had the pork shank. It was good but Agatha's Kitchen was a bit better. No problem because the cost was way lower and the wine was cheaper for good quality wine. My wife had the curry shrimp which was excellent. The waiter was awesome. This has now moved into first place for me on the plaza.

A group of friends who vacation in Mazatlan every year ate at Pedro and Lola's on a Friday evening outside on the plaza. The atmosphere is charming, great food and service, and, no bugs! Definitely a repeat for next year.

We have eaten here before and enjoy it. The atmosphere on the old city square is wonderful except this year there were more "vendors" who are sort of industrious beggars patrolling. The servers would discourage them if you seemed bothered but I can be a sucker for that. The food was good but extremely salty. We had Molcajetes. The drinks were great. The Jazz ensemble started to play and I never wanted to leave, I would not even had said I liked Jazz that much but wow! Feel the emotion.

Pedro and Lola's is arguably Mazatlan's most prestigious and legendary restaurant, for a lot of reasons. Even if you don't know the background, don't know who Pedro Infante and Lola Beltran are, don't recognize the original Lopez Saenz painting of Angela Peralta, don't know who the old musician with all the horns is, you will still love it. It features both indoor and outdoor seating; most choose to sit out in the blocked off street and enjoy excitement of the plaza Machado at night. If you want a quiet romantic dinner, go inside. They have a wide variety of musical acts, classic jazz, blues, rock, even country, so every night is different. A parade of interesting people wanders by, conga gangs with break dancers, tarot readers, wandering minstrels, sketch artists, craftsmen, dance troupes, locals and tourists. Oh, yeah, the food. It's great, I particularly like the bone-in pork haunch. I've been in the kitchen often, and it is impressive, all gleaming stainless steel and well organized. The wait staff are a bunch of characters, most of them have been there many years, it's like a big friendly family. Of course, sometimes they get swamped, it's too popular, but if you're patient it all works out. It's not the cheapest place in the Plaza, but it's the best.
