I had been wanting to visit this restaurant for quite some time. Finally after four attempts we went - and I am so glad we made it. There is a "set menu" each night which is various ethnic dishes. Each night you can also select from local dishes, but the set menu is so much better for the price. We went the night that Greek Food was the set menu, and it was so delicious - and the chocolate mousse was EXCELLENT. The restaurant is inside the Hotel MedioMundo which is slightly off the beaten path withing the Centro Area of Merida. But please make the trek to this restaurant - you will not be disappointed.

The Food is delicious! I have eaten 3 times there and every single day there's another wonderful menu with food around the globe. From Italian, Asian, Mexican food to Libanesian or Greek. It really doesn´t matter if you are vegan or not... the taste of the food is just yummy. The atmosphere is very relaxing and makes you feel like home besides, they have really good music taste and the costumer service is very kind! bravo, you won my loyalty. Definitely, I'll be back

Since coming, we have eaten here every meal we could. While traveling or just living it can be hard to find food that satisfies you the way a home cooked meal does. I tend to be critical of restaurants (being a chef myself, & what I enjoy most is when the atmosphere, service, & food collide in an epitome of comfort convenience. This amazing spot has it it all - plus you leave feeling energized rather than heavy & tired. I especially appreciate creativity and variety; The owners & staff do an excellent job with new flavors/dishes from different cultures each night. I could ramble on and on because it is rare a place captivates my attention enough to return again and again! Bravo!!

Nearby the city center, Calle 55 is calm and quiet. A soft jingle of the bell will get you in the door where you are welcomed by kind staff and a tropical oasis. It is worth spending a few minutes to wander and appreciate the fine details of the century old establishment. After feasting your eyes on the decor, Lo Que Hay offers delicious and satisfying food from around the globe. I arrived on Asian night, alone and late in the evening and treated myself to the whole three(but really four)-course meal. I found the portions perfect considering the rich tastes and the well-considered pace of each dish. The second time I was with my girlfriend, who was a bit jealous by the pictures I was sending her (see attached) and she fell in love as well. So much so that we came a third time to enjoy the impressive hospitality Hotel Mediomundo had to offer. By far the most comfortable beds and sheets we've had on our journey. The rooms are kept cool and well ventilated with the aid of high ceilings and clean window screens. And you can't beat going to sleep to the sound of trickling water in the background...I encourage all to come experience Mediomundo & Lo Que Hay for yourselves. You'll be inspired to return if only for the ambience.

What a nice find. Service was knowledgeable and by far the fastest in all of Mexico. The food was a really nice surprise. Non-veggie friends may not really notice the lack of meat because the quality is so much better than.... almost any other moderately priced restaurant. I look forward to returning

Lo Que Hay is one of my favorite spots in Merida, if not THE favorite. As a vegan traveller, I was relieved to find a place in Merida that serves not just vegetarian, but vegan food (a rare occasion around here!). What's perfect about Lo Que Hay (as you might guess from the name) is its daily-changing menu, which gives its visitors an opportunity to try new cuisines every day. During my visit I came for dinner several times and tried many delicious veganized dishes from different cuisines - from Mexican to Mediterranean. I found the food well-seasoned and incredibly tasty (Asian night was my favorite!) The portions were appropriately sized, great for their value. The entrance to the restaurant is through Mediomundo hotel on Calle 55. Don't be afraid to ring the bell, so that hotel staff can let you in! As the restaurant is located in the patio of hotel, the atmosphere is very intimate and relaxed. I feel like it would be perfect for dates (the subtle lighting and quiet murmur of the pool create a certain atmosphere, y'know), as well as family dinners. But even if you dine alone, the vibe is so relaxed and friendly, you'll definitely feel comfortable. Another nice touch - the playlist always matches the cuisine, and the music is never too loud. All fellow vegans MUST drop by this place while in Merida, but I'd also strongly recommended Lo Que Hay for all non-vegans, as well as healthy food aficionados. Bear in mind, though, that it's only open for dinner, and only Tuesday through Sunday.
