Iannilli Tratoria Italiana - Monterrey

Oaxaca, a central Mexico State has very rich and intense dishes. We had the “enmoladas” , rolled tortillas filled with fresh cheese and covered “mole” . They have like 4 different kinds of mole , each one intense but different . Also has a combination appetizer platter with 6 or 7 different Oaxacan delicacies, including dried and spiced little grasshoppers

I absolutely loved everything about this place: the decoration, the atmosphere, the food, the margarita, the costumer service. I recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Monterrey.

Snack was good (crunchy corn chips and beans in mole sauce with a touch of chapulines . I ordered a black bean soup. It was piping hot, and after a while it cooled down. It was ok, but not great. I make better soups myself. Next I ordered enfrijoladas (fold semi-fried tortillas filled with quesillo , and a thin beef cut. Meat was soft and well-done cooked. It was a little salty to my taste and did not eat it. Enfrijoladas tasted like burned oil (glup! . and salsa they came with was flavorless. I just ate half of enfrijoladas and some small bite of the meat. Better go somewhere else for the money, since this place is not that cheap.

Haven 't been in this place for a while (around seven or eight years), we decided to try it once again last Sunday as we were craving ethnic food. So, let 's get the ugly out of the way: I know they are aiming for ambiance, but the place was poorly lit I had hard time reading the menu and certainly, interiors need a refurbishment badly. Most of the pictures hanging from the walls and the alebrijes collection were covered in dust. Also, I got the feeling they are understaffed, since there is no one at the door, it is really awkward. I remember the food being amazing when I had the lengua back in the day, I chose a different thing, kind of a sample platter, but only half of such was good, the other half was mediocre at best. Given the location, prices are still competitive though. Food is still good, but for me it used to be better.

Precios muy asequibles. Muy buena cocina mexicana con sabor autentico. Si quieres probar buena comida ven a este lugar tan acogedor. Te llenarás como tu viejo amigo de México te invitó a su casa. ¡¡¡A mí, a mi esposa y a mis hijos les gustó!!!

A wonderful place for a long dinner. The food is fantastic, and staff are very friendly. We had mole and lots of mezcal and everything was delicious. If it was up to me, I would probably eat there every day!

Visited for lunch one afternoon, and ended up spending most of the afternoon there. Everything was delicious. The restaurant is very unassuming, but the menu was diverse and authentic. I had the benefit of visiting with a regular who wanted to share with me his favorites on the menu. They were endless! We waddled off very happy.
