A gourmet place, probably I'll say with a kitsch atmosphere. Most of the dishes were amazing, some of them probably in some other places i'll never try but here they were just part of the experience. Chef Aquiles come to introduce himself and make sure everything was fine. Service was very helpful in order to describe the dishes and give us the right recommendations.
Sotero is an excellent restaurant at Pachuca. The taste is good like a high cusine and it is not so expensive, each peso that you pay worth it! Excellent choice!

The food in Sotero is absolutely wonderful, the use of local products and the way Aquile ingredients combined make the dishes delicious. In addition, the service is great.
If you want gourmet food, you need to visit this restaurant. The cook has done a wonderful work with Mexican ingredients, the tasting menu with 6 dishes, are original in presentation and taste. The sea bass croquette is an incredible surprise! And also very good... drinks proposal. If you go to Pachuca, you should go!
The restaurant is uplifted without it pretentious. The service, food, drinks, everything exceeded our expectations. There is definitely a focus on local food, but do not think that your options are limited. All Hidalgo geocultural regions are represented here. The mini... pastes are the best!
Sotero is by far, the BEST restaurant in Pachuca Hidalgo Mexico. From the welcoming when you arrive until the end of the meal, they make you feel like you are home and part of the family. The chef Aquiles Chavez and his team are exceptionnal....The menu and food make you Travel around many states of Mexico. The explosion of flavour is amazing. From the appetizers (entree) to the main dish, everything Is excellent. The chef even prepare a « pastes » which vary every day and which is typical of the state of Hidalgo. You can also Google : Aquiles Chavez and you will see What to expect from your visit and the chef. I Really recommend this restaurant. Found the Conejo Horneado and the Pork Belly dishes to be very muted, lacking in flavour, and lacking in creativity. For the price, I expected way more, this restaurant if far overpriced, especially for Pachuca. The service was bad, our mesero never checked on us...to see how we were enjoying each dish. I also didn't understand the concept of the whole restaurant. Very dark rooms with loud music playing, and an overpriced fusion menu that failed to impress. We enjoyed our amuse bouche and Carpaccio, but will not return.
