Cafe la Parroquia - Veracruz

it is a very beautiful, typical place that they should go there when they visit veracruz, that is the best! I like the lechero (coffee with milk) bomba sweet brot) be all good, not good, but good!

Este es un muy buen lugar para comer cuando intentan comer comida local, les recomiendo el buitre llamado tirados.

we stopped here a quick lunch and it was a great choice. my man has the maul and our friend has chile steppdecke. both were better than the torta I got, cheap to the mall fortified position, but I didn't fall... in the food fell in love with some wise. beautiful staff/service

this is a very well known place to take a bite, but is especially known for its coffee on the basis of cafe lechero milk.

I have visited several locations. The one downtown was very crowded, noisy, the waiters were always in a rush. I always order nuevos tirados but this time they didn't have platain besides the eggs! Our food wasn't tasty, it was lacking flavor.... I didn't even...like the coffe. our food was served at different times and it was cold. There was a lot of music playing all the times which people seem to like. Seems like people just go for tradition...

At plaza Del Sol, across our hotel. relaxing place than the other locations; same boring menu; I think it’s more exclusive for tourists and travelers; the service it’s better at this spot. Good parking in the plaza.

Every time I’ve visited this place it has been loud, crowded and slightly dirty... The waiters are usually fast and barely polite. The food is good overall, but nothing particularly special besides a few great drinks. It’s not a place I’d like to visit for...a meal as such, but for a cup of coffee and a few desserts I totally would.

In times of Starbucks, don’t forget tradition. I had the pleasure of enjoying a typical “lechero” at the Café de la Parroquia in downtown Veracruz and at the harbor. This is a serving of very strong coffee (like Espresso) filling about to of...a glass. The rest is filled up by a skilled waiter with hot milk. This process is worth a picture, because some of the waiters lift the milk pot half a meter or more above the glass (while pouring)! And, it actually tastes well! Nowadays, El Café de la Parroquia is a franchise and there are several more of these Cafés across town including Boca del Rio, South of Veracruz. I still prefer the downtown locations.
