We were staying in a resort for a friends wedding and one night we decided ti head into town to try some local food. This place was recommended to us and I would highly recommend it to everyone. The food was absolutely amazing and delicious. You could taste the love and dedication that has gone into the food which is all made in-house. The restaurant itself has a unique and wonderful feel to it from the decor to the music. This place truly is one of those places you won't forget. Don't forget to try the mascal!

Cool little place in La Crucecita. Owner seemed very passionate about his food and took time to explain his dishes, altho all 3 of us ended up getting the junior burger. Pretty good size, fresh ingredients, homemade fries. He also has some Mexican craft beers. Decor is pretty cool, too. Clean bathrooms. I would for sure come back to try some of his Mexican dishes.
We eat here regularly when we are down for the winter and every time we take guests they rave about how this was the best place they'd eaten at so far. The salad is wonderfully fresh and perfectly seasoned. One salad feeds two people. The tacos are delicious! And the burgers are amazing! If you like Mexican food, THIS is the place to go. And the owner, Otto is a super friendly guy who is eager to make your meal just the way you like. WORTH EVERY PESO! Oh! And you gotta try the pannacotta for desert!!!
This is our second visit in 2 weeks. Had the mexican style of pizza which was delicious. The hamburgers we had last night were the best I've ever had. The jibe of this restaurant is what really sets it apart. Ottto the owner and chef is so friendly you will feel like his most special guest.
As this was our second night in the area we noticed how heavily touristic the restaurants were in Crucecita (especially along the square and the surrounding streets). All of the top pick restaurants on Trip Advisor were chock full of tourists and we yearned for something a little different. By chance after a bit of research we found this place which was way down the list on Trip Advisor but had positive reviews. We were ever so glad we did. It was located a few blocks away from the square and as we approached we knew we could feel the cool vibe.First. The restaurant lighting was low, signalling sophistication and more typical of big-city trendy restaurants than the restaurants in the vicinity. The music was mellow and not too loud.. we welcomed the lack of blaring Mexican pop songs. The decor was also quite eclectic and interesting signalling a strong artistic touch. There were nods to Mexican icons and images including a leather bandero of bullets dating back to the revolution.The menu was focused on typical Mexican street food (Tacos, Gorditas, Quesadillas,Chiliquiles etc) but also had items we'd never heard of including the 'chef recommended' Petroleras, a type of Mexican pizza served in a specific district is Mexico City, from where the friendly chef Otto was from. The other side of the menu focused on apparently amazing burgers. Otto also had an artesianal beer option available which was refreshing after days of the ubiquitous Corona and Dos Equis.The chef was very friendly and shared with us his vision of the place. We learned that he had positioned this place for the locals of the city rather than target tourists. I would highly encourage any tourist yearning for a more authentic real experience to give this place a try. you'll be delighted you did. We had a memorable experience and I'm sure you will too.
Our friend recommended us to try LArtilleria - Wow are we glad we did as the food was amazing. Otto is the owner/cook and is one of the kindest person you could meet in LeCruecita. The service was slower as they apparently had staff not show up that evening but we weren't in a hurry. The menu has traditiional mexican dishes on it so our group tried a number of different items such as Pambazos, Gorditas and Tacos - the food was hot and so delicious. One friend ordered a hamburger as we were advised that Otto has the best burgers in LeCruecita and he said it was by far the best burger he had ever had - it was huge! This will definately be on our must go to restaurant for future visits - totally recommend!
A local recommended this great little restaurant to us & we were stoked with the whole experience. The decor is very groovy cool, low Lantern lighting, scooter & bikes, comfy couch corner, mellow music. Open view from the dining area into the little kitchen where the magic happens!Watching the detail the chef put into each dish was mesmerizing to watch, we literally stared at his workmanship. My partner ordered chilaquilles - good, my gorditas pollo were very good! I ordered 2 thinking that 1 wasn't going to be enough, 2 was way too much food.Finished with a mezcal & a chat with the chef. We had a great evening here.
