because this place is so tiny, I had worried that he would not have survived the COVID shutdowns, but he was excited to see him still open. the food I had was just as delicious as it was a few years ago, on my last visit; and. the service was also excellent. I just wish I had more time available to return on this trip! gosh, it's good!

they were really good. the teriyaki huh was very humid, good quality huh, but not much 'teriyaki' taste. the sticky rice that came with him was also good. bulgogi is a personal favourite dish of mine. unfortunately they fell flat on their face with that. the bark had no significant 'bulgogi' taste, and was very hard. I would not order the bulgogi again, but will definitely try the rams again and get more gyozas. the service was about average for la paz. they bring her to eat, and if they need anything else, they need to fly her down and ask for it.

I spend a lot of time in san francisco and esperanza really impressed me. they make home style Japanese dishes that are delicious and authentic. the two of us shared the three cup chicken and a pig-catsuspecial. very tasteful and perfectly cooked with a beautiful stick...rice. there is no sushi here, but there is an excess of places in la paz. I can't wait to go back!

Only one type of ramen offered, Komatsu. But it is excellent and a great value. Very small place that is packed usually within 30 minutes of opening. May take 20 minutes to receive your order, but well worth the wait.

I know it seems almost a sacrilege to hint that one might get tired of Mexican food in La Paz, but if one desires a break for something different, get yourself to Esperanza 's for delightful Japanese/Asian food. On a recent visit to La Paz, we...ate there twice; and both visits were more than satisfying. My pork ramen had a big chunk of meat in a great broth, and the chicken dish was superb; pot stickers were savory. This is a very small place, with limited indoor and outdoor seating, so avoiding rush times would be a good idea. The next time I 'm in La Paz, this will be one of the very first places I 'll go to eat.
