We had traditional breakfasts here, the food was delicious and freshly cooked and the coffee was great. The staff were all very friendly and the cafe had alot of character. It's also great value - I just wish we'd had time to come back and try lunch!
Never miss Saturday. Best green enchiladas I have ever had. She also serves the biggest omelets with fresh whole grain bread. Nice air conditioned dining. Everything is custom made and the prices are very low. Nothing over 100 pesos. Mostly 60 to 75 pesos that is 3 to 5 dollars. Fresh juices daily and expresso coffee.
Had lunch there yesterday with a friend. The service was excellent; we were in and out in less than 45 minutes which in Merida, is very fast. I had the vegetarian option which consisted of 2 slices of cooked zucchini topped with small dices of other veggies and melted cheese - it was delicious and plentiful - had to struggle to finish the plate but I did. My friend had a plate with bits of beef, rice and veggies - she said it was very good. Lunch included soup that was tasty, the main course and a beverage - the total was $180 pesos for both; a very reasonable price. To me, the deciding factor on whether or not I like a restaurant is if I would return and have the same meal - I will definitely go back. I've lived in Merida for 7 years and being a vegetarian, find that most restaurants are disappointing - not this place. Think I'll go in on Saturday and try the enchiladas everyone is talking about. Oh yeah, the A/C inside was an added bonus!

I have given this place a great review before, but now that it has air conditioning, I wanted to give it another plug. The staff and owner could not be any friendlier. The meals vary from day-to-day. Each day there is a Mexican dish and Vegetarian dish. This includes soup of the day and a fruit drink. In addition, they always offer a choice of chicken breast, grilled or breaded with sides. If you like, you can also can have breakfast all day until 4pm when they close.
She serves the best green enchiladas.... Great service and great location. She has the best vegetarian meals.
My family of four came in to see what the reviews were telling us. Trusting anything that comes out of the kitchen in places like this we simply needed to decide vegetarian or traditional. Two choices today were beef and peppers and chicken breast. Each meal is cooked to order with the sides being rice and salad. The drinks were delicious juices of the day... hibiscus and piná y chiá a lovely green concoction. Price is extremely reasonable and the atmosphere is like visiting your own mother's kitchen. Mucho Gusto
J'ai adoré ce restaurant attenant à un petit atelier de peinture. Le lieu est chaleureux, artistique et familial, on s'y sent comme à la maison avec la cuisine ouverte sur la salle où on peut voir les dames cuisiner. On est servi avec un grand sourire et la cuisine est très bonne, il y a des plats végétariens ou pas, au choix. Et c'est très bon marché !
