Este restaurante tiene varias ubicaciones. Almorcé cerca del Zócalo y el Mercado. Tenían varias especialidades para el almuerzo a excelentes precios. Grandes porciones de marisco fresco con verduras.
The food was so amazing .. super fresh and lots of taste. The spices they use are super cheap. We went there for 3 days as soon as we discovered it... if it's a must in Oaxaca! The staff was so nice and accommodating. The portions are very large. You will be turned on them as soon as you go. La Red is a 10!!!!
Absolutely amazing and fresh seafood loved the shrimps and octopus. Costelita was also brilliant. One of the best restaurants in terms of value for money and fresh seafood!
Really humble place with excellent fresh seafood. We had grilled shrimp and octopus with fresh vegetables instead of pasta and rice. They were both very tasty! This is a simple environment of locals with prices that are very reasonable. The food is reason to be happy. Ate for about $20 with a shrimp plate and an octopus plate. Beautiful dessert from fried plantains. Very recommended! Near the Zocalo. Ends early at 8:30.
Looks like a fast food place however the food is outstanding. We had cocktail cerviche y camaron and then maricoses especial. All very good but the latter incredible. We ordered too much and still scoffed the lot. Waddled home feeling super full but super happy....Our waiter Viktor was attentive and so friendly. Bill incl 2 beers and 2 daiquiris was €565. Insane price for all this excellence.
I have been to multiple restaurants downtown and this one was the best for seafood by far. After talking to locals I disvovered that this is the spot where they all go for sesfood. I had several plates with thrir grilled shrimp, grilled tilapia with...garlic and shrimp in chipotle sauce. Everything was on point! If you want seafood this is the place!
The 99 peso entrees we had were very good. It was a very good value. Ceviche was ordered. It was watery and not appealing. The flavors were not to our liking. It is obviously a restaurant frequented by the locals for good food and pricing
This isn't a fancy place by any means: expect arborite table tops and such. At the same time, there are good reasons to go there. Oaxaca City is far from the sea and as such, quite rightly is not exactly a seafood paradise.Most restaurants have...a few items from the sea on their menus, but quite frankly selecting them is chancy. The items selected may rarely be unfresh, or more often are vastly overcooked. Red specializes in seafood, and particularly prawns and shrimp. So do go there for these. You will get a lot of these for not much money, and the results will be fresh and properly cooked. Service is reasonably good, and wait staff will help you out to select the best thing for you. Convenient to the Zocolo, too.
