The food was surprisingly good for such a simple, not overly decorated and definitely not traditional scenery. Food: crepe and many of them. We had a sweet one with Cajeta (caramelized milk) and vanilla ice cream. But the best was the Rajas con Queso Crepe....Poblano pepper stripes covered with cheese in more poblano pepper sauce. Not hot yet. Good location and if you eat happiness in one of two balconies they have. Drinking had a horchata with Amaretto, interesting and good. Very affordable.

A quick search for Crepes in Oaxaca on TripAdvisor app finds this place relatively low in ranking. I really don't know why. Although I have the most expensive items on the menu (by choice) and that put me back about $6 US... this is on par with Starbucks for something not even near the same! We both ordered various articles naturally and both had their own very unique flavors. In my case, I was offered the choice of fruit in my smoothie and the crepes were amazing! A few stayed as we arrived, so we quickly packed the last available table with a view (see pictures). This place is up from another restaurant. Not sure if they use the same kitchen, but I saw that the bakery hand will deliver our deserts to the main server. Only an ingenious, not too sweet, tasting crepe. With a super romantic view, you cannot beat this experience.
Try to get one of Le Crepe's big window balcony tables looking at Alcala (where parades other events are often staged. Le Crepe has good baquette sandwiches, very good savory crepes. I had an excellent crepe filled with chili poblano and cheese in a green sauce,...essentially Crepe Chile Relleno . (Le Crepe is up from the Amate bookstore (which has a wide selection of books in English).
For a beautiful and colorful street view from a balcony and getting a very good flavored coffee. This place is a great one for stopping, after a Oaxaca’s street walk and get a nice relaxing time.
We arrived today and thought a light meal sounded great. So we decided to try le crepe. English was a problem for the staff but Dulce tried so very hard to communicate with us and her English was better than our Spanish. The menu had...English below the Spanish and our crepes were excellent. My wifex's had cheese and sausage and the presentation was awesome. I had spinach and mushroom and cheese with just the right amount of sauce. Plus we shared a strawberry with chocolate dessert crepe that was maybe even better than the meal. Beer was served in a chilled glass. And with the exchange rate of today all of that came under $20! Plus a table next to an open window. Highly recommended.
