Trio - Puerto Vallarta

Trio is one of those restaurants where we will dine on several occasions during our stays in Vallarta. The staff always remember us and offer a friendly welcome. The kitchen is consistently reliable and offers a generous selection of meat and seafood dishes. Wines by the glass are a particularly good value and available in a wide variety. We look forward to a return of "la temporada de pato" (duck season) in December featuring a special selection of duck themed appetizers and entrees. Two can dine elegantly at an affordable rate: 1200 pesos for pre-dinner cocktails, appetizers and entrees, accompanied by wine by the glass (on our most recent visit).

Had dinner there with my family what a beautiful restaurant the food was outstanding and the service was first class!!

Excellent food, service and ambiance. They did the catering of my wedding, couldn't be better!!! The chef makes you feel like family!

La cocina es excepcional, cada platillo es único en sabor y presentación y los postres 'deliciosos'. El lugar es muy agradable y con muy buen servicio.

Fue una suerte caer en ese lugar. Suerte porque lo vi en tripadvisor y me latió solo de ver las fotos. Al llegar al lugar wooow entre obras de arte. Y al ver gente adulta como clientela, pensé que estaba en el lugar correcto. Todo lo que pedí y lo pedido por mis acompañantes buenísimo. Salvo el creme bulle, en mi parecer me supo mucho a huevo. Se que está hecho a base de ese ingrediente. Pero el sabor era muy marcado.

This was a great find while walking through the cobbled streets of Vallarta. The restaurant's decor and ambience is very Mediterranean and casual. The waiters are very professional, knowledgable, friendly and just down to earth pleasant. The food was off the charts in terms of freshness, presentation and taste. We had the Lebanese beer salad, Lamb and tempura seafood. No room for desert. Highly recommend.

A local suggested this restaurant to us.....it is amazing! We went on a Monday evening and it was quiet. Regardless of the day of the week, we could not figure how this magnificent restaurant was not full. The restaurant is located in an old building that has been meticulously restored. One would not know if it were located in Mexico or France! We enjoyed a superb rack of lamb that was pan seared and elegantly presented. Simply put, it was delicious. Truly this restaurant is one of Vallarta's finest.

I was recently in PV for 16 days. My family and I ate at Trio on our last evening in PV and saved the best for last! The menu was amazing. Trio is a gourmet restaurant serving a variety of dishes. The presentation and flavor of every portion of our dinner was outstanding. My youngest son ordered a beef tenderloin dish that was very tender and flavorful. My oldest son and I ordered a 4-course meal which consisted of a mixed lettuce salad with BBQ quail, an appetizer of shrimp ravioli with a creamy lobster sauce, an entree of fresh sea bass, and a dessert of crepes stuffed with a souffle and topped with fruit and coconut ice cream. The restaurant also has a full bar. This establishment is more upscale and not a place for t-shirt and flip flops. However, I felt comfortable wearing white muslin pants, nice sandals, a nice shirt, and fedora hat. My son's wore nice shorts and button-up shirts. This was our most expensive meal in PV, but well worth it. This is a great place to take someone for a romantic dinner or intimate setting with friends and family. I loved everything about it!
