Retro Burger Bar - CLOSED - San José del Cabo

We go to San Jose Del Cabo every year. We found this great pub-like place about two years ago. Really good burgers and nachos, friendly service. Good beer and drink specials and general prices. Always have a number of big screens fired up with various sports games on. It's our go-to spot for US football and soccer games (die hard Seahawk fans!). A short walk to the Town Square, shopping and art district.

Estuvimos de regreso en la ciudad hace unas semanas y nos entristeció ver que el bar ya no está, bueno está ahí pero ahora lo están convirtiendo en otra cosa :/ Siempre disfrutamos del patio, la música y las cervezas baratas. .

I had a great cheeseburger with calimari and french fries. The lemonade was really great too. Have them salt the rim just like a margarita. The service was fairly fast for the location, and everything was made fresh and tasty. The wait staff spoke very good English which made ordering the food a breeze. I'll be back next time I'm in the area.

We came from Canada with plans on going to the Retro Burger Bar during our stay in San Jose Del Cabo and it turned out to have been a great plan. The food was great with the home cut chips being so delicious. My husband had a great beef burger and I, a yummy chicken burger.Drinks were nice and cold too!

We used to like this place, very few restaurants here have Gf buns. But they have gone down hill the last few visits. I hope they make some changes, it's a cool location and setting, but the food.... Onion rings were overdone, brown, yet served Luke warm. Arrachera beef nachos were just blah, not sure how you can screw up nachos. Burger was OK, meat is waaaaay over seasoned with who knows what. I asked for salsa, and the brought me a tiny shot glass of the worst salsa I've ever tasted. AND CHARGED ME FOR IT! Where in the history of nachos have you ever gone to a restaurant and they don't serve it with free salsa!?! My final complaint, they no longer serve chili cheese fries, which was my kids favorite. The one menu item you cannot mess up, gone. Goodbye for now Retro, I really would love to come back when things improve.

Mi esposo y yo habíamos visto un partido de baloncesto universitario en Retro Burger hace un par de años y tuvimos una buena experiencia. Esta vez nos decepcionó. Aunque pudieron encontrar nuestro juego, estábamos sentados frente a un gran ventilador que soplaba justo al lado de los baños, por lo que había un flujo constante de invitados caminando entre nosotros y el televisor. Nuestro camarero era un "pececito" que parecía tener muy buena opinión de sí mismo, pero no estaba muy atento. Tenían un ala de pollo especial por $5. Probamos con miel y ajo y estaban realmente buenos. Comí macarrones con queso con tocino que estaban cremosos y sabrosos. Sin embargo, la hamburguesa de mi marido tenía mucho sabor a ajo y no pensé que supiera a carne de res. ¡Qué asco! El ambiente interior es muy estéril mientras que la zona exterior parece un poco más festiva, pero está repleta de fumadores. ¡No volveremos!

Cene muy bien, La atención fue excelente y La comida deliciosa y abundante, el precio perfecto. Había comida sin Gluten, el ambiente es divertido, bien americano.

Great nachos and half price drinks for happy hour! definitely recommend Retro Burger for good cheap eats.
