beautiful view from the dach terrace, protected sections so that they do not get cold on the dach, which is excellent when the temperature decreases at night, and delicious eating. christian, the bartender, makes the best margaritas! always consistent and tasty. he is a friendly and attentive bartender....La posadita also offers excellent meals and has a fantastic view of the main church.
francisco, luis, daniel, emiliano and all the staff were great. we ate on a few roofs and if they are looking for a great place, with great prospects and great eating, this is definitely worth a visit. we loved the maul, the posole and the chamorro, all. the foods were great. this was a place we had visited twice.
we loved our culinary experience on this magical dach absolutely. the two-track lights of san miguel de allende in the background, which was beautifully presented and was absolutely delicious. fresh and delicious. the different seating areas were all intimate and lent to a...romantic environment they do not miss la posadita on their next trip to sm.
we had a very nice experience in la posadita. Attic setting was nice, service was excellent. we shared a ribeye medium rare and mixed vegetables. steak arrived and without telling us what our waiter noticed that it did well and offered to take it back. we kept our sweet and ate them while we waited for the return of a perfectly cooked substitute steak. the wine list has been varied and inexpensive.
Still a come for the view, stay for the food kind of place, but the food part has improved since we were here last. Servers were funny, nice and efficient. Food was very good. Frozen Margarita was huge and delicious.
Let me start by saying this place is a joke. my complaint is the service and the prices. Drinks are served in this 10 oz cups that with a few sip’s are gone. The waiters are never the less efficient but not friendly, one other...bad detail I noticed is that they have customer preferential treatment they only give out the best tables to people they know or give out good tips tourists. Not my favorite spot anymore. For the high prices they have don’t expect the best customer service and food is average.
It is hard not to start with location because it is one you will forever remember, but ... the service is warm and attentive. The food, items like LIME SOUP! and a 3 shrimp taco, are memorabl Plan to arrive in daylight and end at...night (Oct would be 7 pm and leave at 9 pm. The sky and city go through a photoesque show while you enjoy the food. Table 0P is shown on my pix and is in rear, allows a pet and is private. What's not to like? All in all, SMA has many fine restaurantes, but La Posadita is at the top of the heap! And, surprise, it is quite affordable .
Always a solid choice in San Miguel. Excellent cocktails, super good food and awesome views overlooking the central church. Probably been here 4-5x over the past three trips. Highly recommend!
