Having traveled here from Pueblo by bus I was in the mood for a light dinner. I enjoyed a salad (I chose the spinach salad because I wanted the artichokes, olives, and pinenuts that accompanied it; but I don't love spinach so they kindly substituted romaine lettuce for me). I also had one of the best minestrone soups I have ever encountered. I was thoroughly charmed by the service provided.
This restaurant seems to be wildly popular, but I have been several times and am never overly-impressed with the food nor the service. The waiters are nice enough, and the food is good enough - though not always consistently good, but it's certainly not worth the nearly hour-wait on busy nights to get a table. For the price and ambience, Italiani's (a popular chain here in Mexico with similar prices).
we each had individual pizzas and found it more reasonalbe than ordering a medium or large. the qualiity of the ingredients was outstanding. very attentive and prompt service.
I have visited this place several times. Sometimes the food is great and others it is cold and terrible. I think it depends on who is the cook on the day you are there.
Let me first say I love love love Mexican food, but when you have a craving for some good Italian cuisine, trust me you can't go wrong. I love their thin crust pizzas and they have more than enough choices to please everyone. Priced very reasonable, and set in a very cool old Spanish Colonial building..
It was love at first bite!!!! this is a must be whenever you visit Xalapa. The food is great, and the budget is totally affordable! I didn't think this could be true... and I mean it! All you can eat is elaborated with exquisite taste and aroma... you can even feel the freshness of all ingredients. The location also is very convenient, at the very centre of the city. The perfect ambience for a romantic dinner with your love, and also with your family!
If you are looking for a nice Italian restaurant in the midst of Xalapa, I highly suggest you try Posodoro. In a very beautiful alley, this restaurant is an excellent and not pricy option for tourists.
While enjoying beautiful Xalapa, Mexico (capitol of Veracruz) we walked into Italy!This restaurant was open aired and perfect for relaxing with a good friend or a lover.The drinks were sublime and the Italian and Spanish wine offerings were reasonably priced and DELICIOSO! The food selections were reminiscent of our Italian trip and the wait staff was attentive without being intrusive. My husband and I truly enjoyed this experience and would heartily recommend it.
