La Nueva Posada - Ajijic

Very good food had ate a few times here never a bad meal. Micheal and the staff are great. Absolutely beautiful location with great staff

This place is open every day of the year. It is a hotel-restaurant combination. They close early (around 7 pm) but they offer good food and a good menu. The wait staff is efficient and friendly.

This small hotel has a very good restaurant. Happy hour is from 4 - 6 p.m. (maybe 6:30). The frozen lime daiquiris are delicious! They have a good variety of entrees, great fish and chips, and some really good pasta dishes. The very best thing about this restaurant/hotel is their beautiful courtyard overlooking the landscaped garden and the lake. Stunning! We stayed at the hotel for more than a week. A full service, sit down breakfast was included with the room. The breakfast menu got a little old after a week, but I'm not complaining....it was free! The waitstaff was very attentive, the hotel room large and very clean!

I have dinner,on the outside terrace overlooking the lake, with friends. The view is quite spectacular as you look out over the lake towards the volcano. I had the Seabass almandine and it was really good. The service was very friendly and,as usual in Mexico,at a nice pace. We had a very leisurely dinner is the sunset at the lake. This is a must see when you're in Ajijic.

Looked back at our reviews over the last couple of years as we always end up here for a dinner or lunch and breakfast. The setting is great but we find the more "exotic" meals disappointing but breakfast is always great!

I have heard and read so much about the place but when push came to shove, I was a little disappointed. Fascinating menu with all sorts of things reasonably priced, which surprised me. I ordered the sea bass which didn't have much flavor. But the mashed potatoes they make were delicious and enhanced the fish. Our friends ordered the Hindu chicken with pineapple and chutney which they said had good flavor. We had to ask for silverware. We had to ask for napkins. He forgot my Pacifico beer and who ordered the rum and Diet Coke. And we had to ask for the bread. We will try it again and hope for a better experience.

Enjoyed our dinner very much. Food was good service was good and the outside atmosphere was beautiful. Dog friendly outside area.

A beautiful stay. My room had a fabulous view of the lake and was very spacious, clean and comfortable. Before I arrived I had lots of questions and Michael was amazing at getting back to me and so very helpful while I was there. The front desk staff Martha and Rita were great. The outdoor garden by the lake was so wonderful to have breakfast each morning. The wait staff were very attentive and were quick to remember my preferences. They were great at arranging tours and transportation back to airport. Will be back.
