Gusto's Restaurant & Cantina - COZUMEL

Hemos estado en Gusto's al menos 3 veces y regresaremos a Cozumel en 3 semanas. Quédate siempre en Todo Incluido y alquila siempre un coche durante la semana. Cada año, en mi cumpleaños, el 1 de mayo, vamos a Gusto's. El propietario [Yo lo llamo Patrón'] es probablemente el dueño de restaurante más agradable que he conocido, y mucho menos la mejor comida de Cozumel. Cuando se servía la cena, siempre había algún tipo de pastel de cumpleaños para mí. El Chef, el Bartender y Gusto vienen y cantan ¡Feliz Cumpleaños!. Las mejores Margaritas de la Isla, aunque Mezcalito está en segundo lugar. Extrañamos Cozumel el año pasado y todavía estoy triste. Por eso la esperanza sigue abierta. Si alguna vez estás en Cozumel, tienes que ir a Gusto's.

We went to Gusto's after hanging out at Punta Sur. We were starving and just looking for something quick to fill the void. We didn't expect much from this little place. I had a Pina Colada and their chicken quesadilla which came with guacamole and pico de gallo. IT WAS INCREDIBLE!!! I'm pretty sure the same guy who took our order also made our drinks and ran back to the kitchen and cooked our food, but he did a great job. He was quick and friendly. We also did the tequila tour and it was fairly interesting. The samples at the end were very tasty. We took home a bottle of coffee-flavored tequila. yum-o!

I've had the privilege to come to this restaurant a couple times and it has been such a great experience! The food is some of the best in the Island, the service is top notch! Not to mention that the facilities are clean. I met the owner Mr. Gustavo Miranda. He was too nice! He even served our table himself! If you find yourself in Cozumel, please come here. You won't regret it!

The food was really good, but don't be deterred by the surroundings. It has no view, but my wife thought the lobster was the best on the island.

We recently ate here and let me tell you, I've NEVER had better food anywhere. This place puts even Red Lobster to shame. I had gotten the point where I quit eating seafood because it seemed like it was always overcooked and chewy. This place makes it so good that it melts in your mouth. If you are ever in Cozumel do not miss eating here. And the prices can't be beat. 7 of us ate here with seafood, bbq ribs, you name it and alcohol drinks and it was less than $200!!! This is definitely a must stop anytime we will vacation here. We have 4 kids and none of them complained about anything other than they wanted more. (And we have picky eaters.) I just can't say enough good about this place. Even the people working there were so happy, you could tell they honestly loved their jobs and were so great at them. Our party could NOT have been happier and so very glad this was referred to us by a new friend/local.

All of the fish is very fresh. Straight out of the ocean. But the lobster was absolutely delicious. It had a sweet taste to it. Very different from the Lobster we get here in the states. Definitely recommend the Seafood Platter for Two. It came with lobster, shrimp, and Mahi Mahi. All of it was delish and the Kahlua Icecream was to die for.

The food was great, we had coconut shrimp and a salsa that had had fish in it. The drinks were good and we liked the airy atmosphere with the stained glass windows.

Gusto's is located at KM (kilometer) post 7.5 south of the main town, on the left side of the road (if you are travelling south). The building inside is beautiful with stained glass windows all round. My husband and I enjoyed the Seafood Platter for 2. It could feed 3 easily. It had Lobster, shrimp, fresh vegetables, rice and the fish of the night was Mahi Mahi. The Mahi Mahi was cooked and seasoned perfectly. It meal also included soup or salad and bread. I chose the salad and the house made ranch dressing was the best ranch dressing that I have ever had. One of their specialties is Lobster Pizza cook in a wood fire oven. This was definitely the best meal that I had while vacationing on Cozumel.
