This is a fun restaurant. They have great drinks and fantastic shrimp tacos. We wanted to go back for the live music on the sunset rooftop lounge but didn't make it...next time!

Chanced a walk in as this place looks quite fun from the outside. Big mistake.Ordered a range of alcoholic and non alcoholic cocktails and some soft drinks which were both slow to come and indifferent in taste / standard.Live music started which even to my untrained ear was pretty unpleasant. It was also so loud that we could not hear each other. Asked for volume to be turned down (waiter and manager) and despite agreeing, nothing happened.Food was genuinely the worst we ate in Mexico. Chicken dishes were 90% vegetable with little meat; ribs turned out to be deep fried (and completely dried) out chicken wings. My wife chose a fish fillet but was persuaded to take the catch of the day, on the express understanding that it was served off the bone - it arrived on the bone. The waiter was unhelpful / overbearing. His sole aim appeared to be upselling. He came across as rude and unpleasant.Avoid this place!

We came upon this place while riding bikes. The rain started and knew this place would be ideal for some drinks and the fact that it's open space - airy.Once seated, the staff quickly got us our drinks and the food came respectively in good time. The food ordered was Quesadillas for the lady and I got the Ceviche. Both were good. Nothing fancy. Definitely better than any place ordered in states. Chips and salsa came compliments of the house (standard for all tables). The menu has much more to choose from but we wanted the ambience of open air, music playing, watching people drive/ride/walk by and the rain falling hard. The menu is Mexican cuisine.Staff were mostly Mayan and friendly. We striked coversation with them learning some phrases in their native tongue. The floors are gravel. The decor is slightly rustic - beachy(?); slight feel like a Bubba Gumps though there is no hangings of that theme. Can see the open kitchen to the side of 1 wall. The bar is at entrance next to host stand upon "entering". Can actually step off sidewalk to bar or take few steps more to open rod frame entrance and be seated by hostess. The building also has a 2nd open floor but they were doing construction at time so couldn't go up. I imagine it gets full when season peaks.I wouldn't make a special trip for this place, but if you're riding your bikes and you're in the vicinity while feeling hungry and thirsty then do stop by. It's a chill place.

No volvería

I feel very unsure about writing this review for a couple reasons. First, I very rarely write bad reviews. Second, the ice cream was actually good. Third, I don't know if the guy who I'm going to write about actually works at this place or was just hanging out behind the counter. My partner and I (we're two women) stopped by here one afternoon to get some ice cream. Started off great. The place is cute and hip. Seemed like good vibes at first. Then the man behind the counter (an older man in maybe his 60s or 70s) started asking us a lot of weird questions. By the time the younger guy took our order, we already regretted sitting down but figured we could take the ice cream to go. They gave us the ice cream in dishes so we just stayed and figured we could eat fast and get out of there, but the older man kept talking to us. He assumed we were heterosexual and kept hitting on my partner and touching her and calling her sexy and talking about his sexual exploits. He was being very forceful and asking her a lot of very personal questions. I felt nervous telling him she was my girlfriend because I wasn't sure if he was homophobic and I didn't want to escalate the situation. We just tried to smile and nod and eat as fast as possible. It was just a very uncomfortable experience that left us feeling sad and gross. I'm sure this is a fun place for dudes to hang out but I write this so that women be cautious here.
