While on vacation my husband and I visited Cuervo's house for dinner and again for lunch. Best margarita's in town! The food and service was excellent! When we return for future trips this will be one of our first stops!
In our 10 day trip to San Jose Del Cabo we happened to stop by to see the authenticity of this family owned restaurant and what an experience! Amazing staff not just to tourist but to locals as well, the owner and all the staff were very attentive and caring makes you feel at home. Best birthday lunch! Seafood platter was delicious as well as the aguachiles and tortilla soup.
Between the 3 of us we had shrimp fajitas, chile rellenos and carnitas tacos. All 3 meals were delicious, the beer was cold and the margaritas were the best we had in San Jose del Cabo.
We just returned home from a week long vacation in San Jose Del Cabo. During our week we ate here twice - we were 2 families, a total of 9, with kids ranging in age from 10-21 and everyone of us loved this place. We just happened to walk by one day when we were in search of a place to have lunch and decided to give it a try. The food was excellent and very reasonably priced. The owners - Jorge and Claudia Cuervos were so friendly and told us of their family history - tequila and family recipes used in the restaurant. We loved it so much we decided to go back for another lunch a few days later - again the food and drinks were delicious - while there we learned that Jorge was holding his weekly tequila class that night and since it was our last we decided to sign-up. So glad we did - what a marvelous time we had learning about tequila (and tasting of course) but more importantly experiencing the passion Jorge has for what he does and sharing his families and countries culture with visitors. Our 21 year old was especially happy to be able to join us on the adventure and leave "the kids" at home. Afterwards our family talked about how happy we were to have been able to give our business to a truly local family owned business - we hope this review helps others to do so.
Owned and operated by the great grandson of Jose Cuervo, this authentic Mexican restaurant in the heart of Cabo is not to be missed. Ask for Jorge Cuervo, eat his amazing food and listen to his great stories.
We popped in here on our morning walk to town and ate breakfast. We were welcomed and had great service. We met the owner, who spent some time sharing with us his family history and knowledge of Tequila. We both ordered Huevos Rancheros and they were delicious! We were offered a taste of their after dinner Tequila - made with Membrillo - tasty! We will definitely eat here again the next time we are in town!
The owner of this restaurant is a descendant of the Cuervo Tequila family, and offers tequila tastings. We passed the place a couple of times because we weren't sure if they served food. They do and the food is excellent. We had a Mexican combination platter made from Cuervo family recipes and it was excellent. The owner (Jorge) and his brother (Chato) spent quite a bit of time talking with us about the Cuervo history, which we enjoyed. I would guess that the rest of the menu items are excellent as well.It only has five or so tables, and is quite cozy and well-appointed.This is also a locals place, with a piano bar, stage, theater screen, and banquet hall. It's the real deal for local flavor. None of those other events were going on when we were there.
Our last night before leaving San Jose del Cabo, we had the most delicious food we had had during our ten day stay. Rosio was delightful, and knew her menu. There is nothing better than great staff who know what to suggest, and know it won't disappoint. We had the seafood platter, or combination, I think it was called and it was superbly prepared and presented. The flavours were unique, and the combination of fish, scallops, lobster, and shrimp with scrumptious vegetables, and rice made the meal. A delicious morsel of dessert completed a lovely evening for a very reasonable price. Don't miss out on Cuervo's House!
