La Palapa Restaurant - Tulum

We had just finished touring the ruins and we were dropped off by the train in front of this restaurant. We decided on tacos and some beer. Three in our party ordered 1 taco each. They got three each. We also had chips and salsa, a coconut drink and a pineapple drink. Shame on us for not asking for specific prices. The bill came to $155!!! The gentleman who gave us our bill was not even flustered. I am pretty sure he does this frequently. Buyer beware.

I would like to highly commend and thank Katherine, Ozzy, Poncianu, Kati and Ostel (spelling may be wrong) on their outstanding service to me and my friends and family on the evening and day of December 24th 2015. Not only was the entire day filled with great food, atmosphere and service, but in the evening we could not find our cab driver. Therefore everyone (all the staff mentioned above) did their best to call all and every phone number to find this cab driver and some even gave their own cell phones for him to call us back (as I have an American phone line it didn't work in Mexico). The graciousness of the beautiful ladies was matched with their incredible service. Along with the efficiency and great concern (for us all) from the male servers was totally outstanding! Thank you all so very much for being such an incredible place and I look forward to referring you to many people in the future.Sincerely, Victoria and my friends and family. :-)

The picadas were very tasty and our waitress was great. The al pastor was alright and the beef burrito was salty. Ordered rice and beans for our son. He only ate the beans, was not feeling the rice. It seems there was no more tomatillos so we couldn't order anything w green sauce... Dinner for 2 adults and a child w drinks ran for 300 pesos.

My boyfriend and I ate here one afternoon after we had been at the beach all morning. I was getting "Hangrey" as it was nearing 3 and we hadn't eaten lunch yet. We had delicious fish tacos and enjoyed the strange but amusing Mexican music videos that were playing on loop. They also brought the customary chips and salsas before our meal started. There was one chipotle mayonnaise sort of sauce that didn't really agree with me, but it was good food and a good price. The fish was cooked to perfection and my hungry-anger subsided!
