We loved the sound of the other TA reviews but sadly were turned away at the hotel reception. It seems from other reviewers of Cinco Hotel that there is a dispute between owners resulting in the hotel and restaurants being non operational.
We love this jewel!! Our party of 4 dined here just about every morning of our stay in Punta de Mita (even though we were not hotel guest). The food is perfectly prepared, fresh ingredients, gorgeous flavors, something wonderful for everyone on this simple menu - - from the vegan eater to the carnivore in the group. Location is premium - on top of Hotel - with 180 degree view of the ocean . Lovely and perfect for vacation breakfast. And a great value for high quality, fresh food and delicious preparation. Highly recommend.
We specifically came here based on the good recent reviews. However, we came away very disappointed. Admittedly it was busy and the handful of tables were full when we arrived. We sat at the bar until tables became available. Orders were eventually taken and then we waited...and waited. It took 45 minutes for coffee to arrive and over an hour for waffles and smoothies. There were 5 staff working away and very busy and so we're not sure why everything took so long. We had to ask for the bill 3 times and they clearly had no idea what we'd been served until we told them again. We left just over 90 minutes after we'd arrived. Nothing was very clean and we felt uncomfortable throughout. We would not return.
Miguel was very attentive and made our visit extremely enjoyable. We will be coming here every morning for the delicious smoothies and the great coffee!
Fresh food, delicious smoothies, friendly and efficient service and a great view make this a must do.
We came here for breakfast and it was wonderful! It has the best view on the beach and our waiter, Miguel, was super friendly and attentive. We will be back!
This gem is on the roof top of one of the fancy hotels (Tuna Blanca) and is only open for breakfast. Choose your own smoothies, fruit/granola bowls and watch the swell coming in from four stories above the beach. Serve espresso drinks, with wifi and an infinity pool. Prices are a little bit higher, but the atmosphere, service, view and quality of ingredients make it well it. This will be our breakfast spot every morning in Punta de Mita!
